The World Tarot Meaning

The World tarot card closes out the linear cycle of the Major Arcana cards. After a long journey, right from the first meeting with The Fool all the way through encounters with the other 21 cards, we finally reach the metaphorical finish line.

Something that The World card reminds us, though, is that human experience is never linear. We will jump between all of these cards in a different order, skipping some and moving straight to others. When we reach The World, it suggests that a closing is happening and we are moving onto a new adventure, a new branch on our journey of growth and development.

In the previous card, Judgement, we have an awakening that brings us an intense clarity and awareness of what is and what has happened to get us to the present moment. Once we enter into the energy of The World, we ascend and feel a sense of space and removal from these things, allowing us to be able to reflect on everything and giving ourselves room to transform into the next version of ourselves, ready to start a new journey of growth.
