Judgement Tarot Meaning
Judgement is a card that allows us to rise above and get a clear bird’s eye view of the self. It is the penultimate card of the major arcana cycle and is the last pit stop before we close out with The World. With Judgement, comes a sense of clarity that allows us to be able to see how far we’ve come and all the possibilities we have waiting for us ahead.
It’s at this point you shed what was, like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis. You step into the person you’ve worked so hard to become. All the lessons you’ve learned and challenges you’ve overcome are now a part of the fabric of your being. All the things that you’ve addressed and analysed and are now ready to let go can be released.
If we are looking at Judgement in terms of the cycle of the Major Arcana, Judgement refers to a return to a true and authentic version of the self. This can only be achieved by moving through the trials that the other cards have set. It’s by moving through those other archetypes and learning from them that you can grow and change, becoming a new version of yourself and shedding an old and outdated skin.
