In lesson 1 we'll explore the origins of the tarot, looking back at one of the earliest playing card decks that has directly inspired the tarot cards. We'll review the timeline of the tarot and get a better understanding of how the tarot's many different lives have impacted the meanings of the cards and how we still read them today.
Lesson 3: Tarot and its religious & esoteric symbolism
In lesson 3 we start to take a look at the role religion played in the building of the tarot structure and card meanings, identifying religious symbolism that we can still see in versions of the Rider-Waite deck and decks of the past. We'll also explore how esoteric symbolism works alongside these more religious aspects and how this might affect the way we read the cards in a more modern day context.
Lesson 5: Key figures in tarot history: The people who paved the way
In lesson 5 we'll get to know some of the key figures in tarot's history, that helped shaped the world of tarot and how we use it. We'll look at the creators of some of the very first tarot decks, as well as more modern tarot scholars that have helped bring the cards into the 21st century.
Lesson 6: Tarot and psychology: Links to Jungian Archetypes
