In your very first lesson you'll learn all about the history of the Tarot and start to build a clearer picture of Tarot's reputation, how it has been used in the past and how it has evolved into what we know and love today. In order to have a good understanding of the cards, you need to know where they came from!
Learning about the divine masculine and feminine energies in the Tarot cards has been a hugely helpful tool for me to lean on in my own Tarot journey. We can use the unconscious knowledge we had about what these energies represent to more intuitively read the cards and create more meaningful interpretations.
The Conscious, Subconscious & Higher Consciousness
The Tarot is a tool designed for introspection, this means it reaches into the various parts of us that hold information. It then draws out the key information it thinks we need to focus on to find the answers we seek. These parts of the self are the conscious, subconscious and higher consciousness, which is why I wanted to introduce you to these spaces before we get stuck into the meanings of the actual cards.
Moving into the second section of the Major Arcana, we come up against the Strength card all the way to the Temperance card. We'll explore the traditional meanings of all of these cards and explore our own connection to their meanings.
This is our final lesson on the Major Arcana and we're going out with a bang. Let's have a look at these final cards, ranging from The Devil all the way to The World card.
It's time to dive into the world of the Minor Arcana and to start us off, we'll explore the Swords by splitting them in half to make them easier to tackle.
As they can be a little trickier to master, we'll start to wrap up the course by looking at how we read the court cards and why they are different to the other minor arcana.
In this lesson we learn how to do a reading using the knowledge you've gained so far and take a look at some of the beginner spreads to help you practice.
Where to Go From Here - From Beginner to Intermediate
In the final lesson of the Foundational Tarot Course, we look at what's next for you and your practice. I introduce you to some areas to research further and offer tips on how you can continue to build on all the meanings of the cards you've learned so far.
