One of the biggest lessons I've learned from continuously studying tarot is that there is rarely ever a right or wrong way to read the cards. There's so much about interpretation that is completely unique to the person reading and this was something I really wanted to include in my beginner course.

Yes there are traditional meanings and these form the building blocks of pretty much every tarot reader's skill, but the real magic comes when you allow yourself to think beyond those meanings. To use them as a jumping-off point to find something even more meaningful.

One thing I made sure to do when building out the lessons on my course was to include a section for each card where you're encouraged to find your own meanings. Yes, we learn the traditional meanings, but I didn't want it to be like "This is what X card means full-stop, moving on". I really wanted to encourage my students from day one to explore their own meanings. To mine their own lived experience to find a deeper understanding of what a card can mean.
