The Three of Wands Tarot Meaning

The Three of Wands is a transitional point, where planning and preparation are over and done, and there’s nothing left to do but put one foot forward and take action. This card can feel scary but also exciting, because it’s the point where you stop dreaming and start doing.

Often, when we reach this point, it’s natural to have some doubts and fears. What lies ahead is unknown, out of your control and unfamiliar. But within that also lies a wealth of opportunity for growth and expansion. The hardest part of the Three of Wands is making yourself take that first step. So many things can try and hold us back, but we need to have the willpower to push through and trust that we’ll get to where we want to be.

The Three of Wands, like a lot of the threes in the tarot, is a card of radical growth. As it’s a wand’s card, it’s all about taking the action needed to push us out of our comfort zone and into a space that offers more breathing room. But with that comes the risk of making mistakes, of failing and plenty of moving three steps forward and two steps back. This is the beginning of an adventure, and within that come both peaks and troughs.
