The Tower Tarot Meaning
The Tower tarot’s meaning basically consists of breaking down everything that was not built to last. Many people fear The Tower because it represents destruction and chaos, often out of the blue and extremely unwanted. But more often than not, it is needed, not wanted, but most definitely needed.
When I think of The Tower, I imagine a very old building that has fulfilled its full potential, being demolished to make way for something that is going to serve people in the present and near future. It may also meet the same fate as its predecessor one day, but that will only be when it, too, has served its purpose.
Our main struggle when faced with The Tower’s energy is that of acceptance and the ability to let go. Because this change can feel sudden and unexpected, it can knock us off balance and wind us, leaving us feeling blindsided and disoriented. It can be hard to see through the smoke of the destruction and get a glimpse of the hope and promise that comes with a completely blank slate.
