The Ten of Cups Tarot Meaning

The Ten of Cups brings the cups suit to a close, and with it comes the ability to find complete acceptance, contentment and fulfilment. There is a gentle celebration that happens with this card; it can be a celebration that is shared by those you love and trust, or it can be an internal celebration. You may have battled through something difficult and come out on top. You might have learned a hard lesson and now feel confident and more self-assured, should it happen again.

The Ten of Cups, like all the cups cards, is a feeling. When we work with the swords, wands or pentacles, we always have something to show, something to do or take action on. With the Ten of Cups, it’s a much more passive energy. We feel the fruits of our labour. This is why this card is so often seen as a sign of happiness and contentment. It’s a card that can represent our freedom and our ability to be fully connected with our intuitive and emotional self.

On the flip side of the Ten of Cups, we start to dig into the things that may stand in our way of happiness and feeling free. We are asked to delve into the world of self-reflection to uncover what is blocking us from being able to have everything we want. This may bring up difficult emotions or beliefs, but there’s comfort to be found in knowing that facing these things is all you have to do to finally break through that final hurdle.
