Think of yourself as a tree 🌳 you've got a trunk, this is your core self, the most authentic and consistent part of your psyche. Each branch that grows represents different aspects of yourself, as well as different interests, passions, behaviours, habits, and more.

Sometimes these branches are fickle and break off easily, some grow to be big and strong and become an integral part of the whole tree. The point is, not all branches are meant to be permanent. Some are there to serve you in that season of your life and then they fall away.

It might seem very pretentious and woo-woo to think of yourself like this, but I've found - having worked with tools like Tarot and Witchcraft for a number of years now - that there is way more we can learn about ourselves and how we work, by looking at the natural world than we would expect.

I love finding new synchronicities out in nature, whether it's how a tree's bare branches mirror the Bronchioles of the lungs or how the rings of a tree share similarities to our fingerprints. Seeing yourself in the makeup of nature helps humble the ego, connects you with something more primal in yourself and calms the nervous system.

I'll be taking a bit of time off over Christmas bu

I'll be taking a bit of time off over Christmas but I'm excited for the things I've got planned for the new year, like re-opening enrolment for my foundational Tarot course! Over the next few weeks, I really want to take a look at student feedback from this first initial enrolment period and see where things need to improve and where I need to make some tweaks.

I really want this course to be a living breathing method of learning the Tarot. I want to be able to offer students new tools, and new opportunities to explore their own relationship with the Tarot and how it can help them better understand themselves.

I always struggle with the fear that I'm not offering 'enough' which is something I'm working on. But I also think it's good to always be thinking of how you can improve and offer maximum value to those who invest in your business.

I wanted to share this spread I did for myself last night to identify the blocks causing me to procrastinate on decision making, let me talk you through it…

First of all we’re using a column spread to organise the reading into four key areas:

1️⃣ Emotional blocks
2️⃣ Material blocks
3️⃣ Mental blocks
4️⃣ Energetic blocks

Then we’re using one oracle card for each section as a ‘summary’ card (I’ll explain more shortly)

Underneath we have two Tarot cards, the first to give us more detail about what the block is, the other positioned underneath to give us more info about why that block exists.

I kept the Oracle cards face down to start. I interpreted the two tarot cards in each column, figuring out what that block was and why it existed and only then would I turn over that columns Oracle card to offer me an affirmation/ solution on how to move forward.

I LOVED doing this spread and I found it super helpful, especially partnered with some journaling. Once I was done I took the affirmations I’d written based on each Oracle card and popped it into my notes app on my phone, so now I can read them everyday and continue to benefit from the reading!
