The Nine of Wands Tarot Meaning

The Nine of Wands is the penultimate card of the wands suit. It’s the final battle before the climax that comes with the Ten of Wands. This card can be one that warns of things such as burnout, or it can bring awareness to all the ways we’re pushing ourselves outside of our capabilities.

When we put too much pressure on ourselves to achieve something or reach a certain goal by a certain date, it can cause stress. With the Nine of Wands, we’re invited to explore how we could ease this pressure, take time to rest and recover before pushing forward again.

The Nine of Wands can also be an indication of lessons learned. We might now be more aware of our own boundaries, limitations, priorities and be more in tune with our own instincts. This can mean that we know ourselves better and, as a result, can take action when we are being stretched beyond our limits.
