The Nine of Pentacles Tarot Meaning

The Nine of Pentacles represents the feeling of fulfilment and our sense of independence. It can bring our awareness to what we value and what we allow ourselves to enjoy. As the Nine of Pentacles is the penultimate card in the Pentacles suit, we see all of the hard work and energy we’ve put into the cards leading up to this point, finally paying off. This is the point where we see the rewards for everything we’ve done, and we get the chance to take a breath and enjoy the fruits of our labour.

This card helps us better understand how we allow ourselves to experience joy, pleasure and a sense of ease. It can help us review the things that we love to immerse ourselves in and pinpoint the things that don’t make us feel fulfilled or that try and damage our self-worth. It can allow us to hone in on our insecurities and find new ways to boost confidence and regain a sense of independence that we may have lost along the way.

With the Nine of Pentacles, we are asked to take up the role of the noblewoman we often see on the Rider-Waite tarot deck. We are invited to walk around our own inner gardens and see what needs tending to, what needs weeding, planting and what we can simply enjoy and admire.
