Lesson 1: Understanding tarot spreads and how to use them
Lesson 1 looks at the importance of tarot spreads, how they help to add essential context and structure to your readings and how you can read the cards in a more narrative way. Together, we explore the structuring of stories and how we can apply this to our readings and get more familiar with the traditional, beginner friendly three card spread.
Lesson 2: The three card spread and its variations
In lesson 2 we explore the three card spread in more detail, looking at how we might customise and alter the traditional positions to help us find greater meaning. We'll explore the theory of triads and their uses, and how we can implement these into customising our three card spreads further.
Lesson 3: Adding more complexity to your readings through additional cards
In lesson 3 we'll start to build on our three card readings, exploring how adding additional cards for larger readings can deepen the meanings of the cards and offer more complex tarot readings. We'll look at the importance of positions in spreads and how they can change the meanings of a card and start to create our own seven card reading.
In lesson 4 we'll start to dive into the Celtic Cross spread by building on our previous seven card tarot reading. Together, we'll look at what each of the Celtic Cross positions mean and I'll show you my own unique way of reading the spread, to better cater it for personal readings. At the end of the lesson we'll have constructed a full 10-card Celtic Cross reading that you feel confident moving through and interpreting.
In lesson 5 we'll explore how we can create our own tarot spreads, to help us cater our readings more closely to what we need and what are intentions are. We'll explore how to choose the number of cards in a spread, assigning position names and meanings, creating symbolic shapes and crafting a clear and confident narrative.
In lesson 6 we'll wrap up the course by exploring the importance of tarot journaling, especially when it comes to creating and implementing your own tarot spreads. We'll also look at how you can build a more consistent tarot practice that aims to support and guide you with your own personal goals and intentions.
